A fantastic scenario by Koplopermau brings the TGV to life!
The French TGV is an iconic brand of trains, no matter which type of TGV you’re looking at it’s always recognisable as a sleek and fast train. Dovetail recently made their first foray in to French trains with the excellent Marseille to Avignon TGV route, which features the SNCF TGV Duplex train. Running at speeds of up to 320km/h along this rollercoaster of a route is great fun and requires skill to maintain the top speeds without speeding and still being able to bring this train down from 320km/h to a stop at the right point on the platform.
I recently ran a scenario by Koplopermau called There and Back again (yes, it’s based on the same sort of idea as the identically named scenario from the London Faversham route) where you drive from Marseille up to Avignon with a stop at Aix-en-Provence and then run full speed back direct to Marseille. Plenty of AI make for an interesting drive and the high speeds are certainly to be enjoyed 🙂 Running in both directions makes for a nice 60 minute scenario, extending the usual 30 minute run of the route if you want to drive for a bit longer.
You can download this fantastic scenario yourself from Steam Workshop here.
